The Horror Started 30 Years Ago. The Tour Starts This Summer

Seattle – On July 15, 1982 two boys discovered the body of Wendy Coffield floating face down in the Green River in Kent, Washington. The Green River Killer case had begun and Coffields would be the first of over fifty young women found murdered in the northwest over the next two decades.

Gary Ridgway (The Green River Killer) would plead guilty to 48 murders in 2003 and another in 2010. He is the most prolific serial killer in our nations history and will live out the remainder of his life in Walla Walla State Penitentiary.

In marking 30 years since the twisted tale began, Notorious Tours of Seattle will begin ‘The Green River Killer Tour’ on July 14, 2012. Anyone interested in true crime, local history or just a new and interesting way to spend a Saturday night should take this tour.

The tour is an eery three hour bus ride leaving Downtown Seattle at 9PM and returning at midnight. We will visit many of the sites made infamous by the Green River Killer in the south Puget Sound area while discussing Ridgway, the case and of course the lives and deaths of many of his victims. This tour will always be respectful, but pulls no punches.

The tour will run July 14 and 28 and maybe extended through August. Notorious Tours will donate a portion of the profits to a local charity for young people living on the street.
